After the establishment of Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development 2074 from Faganu under the Far West Province, the Infrastructure Development Office formed under that Ministry was under the authority of Kailali in this Kanchanpur district. After that, according to the decision of the office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers dated 2076.08.13, this Infrastructure Development Office, Kanchanpur was established and operated from 2076.09.16.

Purpose

According to the approved annual program received from the Far West Province Government, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, implementation of road, road bridge and Jholugen bridge projects under this Kanchanpur district. In particular, according to the approved program received from the Ministry, the construction, maintenance and upgradation works will be conducted/implemented. Inspect construction materials and construction work.

Responsibility of the Centre

Under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, the projects related to roads, road bridges and Jholugen bridges within Kanchanpur district jurisdiction are implemented according to the annual program approved by the Ministry.
